"Les clientes sont là, on a un soutien énorme, et tout ça est gâché."

Voila en gros, les mots de certains employés de la maison Christian Lacroix après l'annonce par le tribunal de commerce de Paris, le 1er décembre 2009, de mettre en oeuvre le plan initial du groupe américain Falic, propriétaire de Christian Lacroix.

Ce plan, le voici:

• licencier une centaine de salariés (soit 90% des effectifs!!!), pour n'en garder qu'une petite douzaine qui gérera exclusivement les contrats de licence (collections homme, robes de mariées, parfums) qui pourront porter le nom de Christian Lacroix, sans pour autant avoir été conçus par ce dernier.
• renoncer à la branche "Couture" de Christian Lacroix.

Faute de mieux, faute d'un repreneur jugé viable financièrement par le tribunal, ce sont des dizaines de "petites mains en or" qui vont se retrouver sans emploi dans un secteur bouché.

"Un commercial, un contrôleur de gestion arrivera toujours à se replacer ailleurs, mais une fille qui a travaillé 22 ans chez Christian Lacroix, qui a commencé à 17 ans, elle n'ira pas bosser chez Chanel, elle ne saura pas."

Dans cette catastrophe qui touche ici au coeur même du luxe "à la française", notre Ministre de l'Industrie, Christian Estrosi, "ne perd pas espoir", car il reste la possibilité de reprise par le cheikh émirati Hassan Ben Ali Al-Naimi, ajoutant qu'il a mobilisé "le réseau diplomatique français des Emirats Arabes Unis afin d'alerter le cheikh sur l'urgence de la situation"

Car il n'est jamais trop tard, le tribunal ayant exclu l'idée d'une liquidation qui aurait mis fin définitivement à l'entreprise.

Alors, croisons les doigts. De toute façon, il ne nous reste plus que cela!

That is basically the words of some employees of the Christian Lacroix house after the announcement by the Commercial Court of Paris, on 2009 December the 1st, to implement the original plan of the U.S. group Falic, owner of Christian Lacroix. The plan is this:

• lay off hundreds of employees (or 90% of the workforce just to keep !!!), a few dozen that will handle exclusively license agreements (men's collections, wedding dresses, perfumes) which may bear the name Christian Lacroix, without having been designed by him.
• waive the industry "Sewing" by Christian Lacroix.

Without a buyer deemed financially viable by the court, there are dozens of "little golden hands" who will be unemployed in an area completely blocked.

"A mall, a management controller will always arrive to work elsewhere, but a girl who worked 22 years at Christian Lacroix, who started at age 17, she will not work for Chanel, she will not know."

In this disaster here that touches the heart of "à la Française" luxury, our Minister of Industry, Christian Estrosi, "do not lose hope", because there remains the possibility of recovery by the UAE Sheikh Hassan Bin Ali Al- Naimi, adding that he has mobilized "the French Diplomatic network in order to alert the UAE sheikh about the urgency of the situation".

Because it is never too late, the court having ruled out the idea of a liquidation that would put a definitive end to the company. So fingers crossed. Anyway, we haven't anymore than that!
